Gents, I've spent some time bisecting the xf86-video-intel to track down the issue. So far my conclusion is as follows: the issue was introduced in this commit - http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86-video-intel/commit/?id=2a59eadf8165bd70780ac16220456c6196ac3ff1
Reverting the changes in sna_glyphs.c fixes the issue for me. PS: Seved's site works like a charm for testing!
