Hi, thanks for helping me out. No, the HDMI was not plugged in -- nor ever has been. I'm using a laptop and the sound output should have been the built-in audio. After I upgraded the system, it once (and only once) wanted to run all the output through the HDMI, resulting in no audio at all. After running the apport-bug on the audio, I have had no further problem though.
What do we need to do to get to the bottom of this? (Just to be clear, I have sound now, despite having not changed anything). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1253739 Title: [Inspiron 1525, Silicon Image SiI1392 HDMI, Digital Out, HDMI] No sound at all To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/1253739/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
