@Bryan > In that case; did you try my instructions
Actually, really strange, the bug just disappeared. Even with the Intel graphics, I cannot crash X11 any more. Therefore, I cannot try that fix any more, either. I didn't even change anything, but here is what may have "fixed" the problem: My machine (Lenovo W500) has two graphics cards, Intel and ATI. I usually use Intel. To troubleshoot this issue, I changed to ATI (via BIOS). After changing back to Intel, the bug was gone from my system. I don't think the reboot did it, as I rebooted before, which didn't fix the problem. Maybe by booting with ATI, some X11 configuration files were changed, that for whatever reason prevented this bug from materializing, even after switching back to Intel. Anyway, thanks for looking into this, and for giving such a prompt reply. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1174374 Title: libreoffice-calc crashes/hangs desktop on Ubuntu 12.10 and 13.04 when opening a .xlsx file To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1174374/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
