This happens on a desktop systems too, for example here: ubuntu 13.10 uname -a Linux nick-desktop 3.11.0-13-generic #20-Ubuntu SMP Wed Oct 23 07:38:26 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
lspci | grep -i ethern 00:19.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82566DC-2 Gigabit Network Connection (rev 02) after resume, network manager comes with "network disabled" and if you enable it, nothing happens. However doing dhclient eth0 setup the interface properly. Also: issuing sudo killall NetworkManager - brought back its functionality, so that may be used as a workaround for now. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/858188 Title: 168c:002b [Asus K52JT] Network manager fails to reconnect after suspend/resume To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/858188/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
