Hi,
This looks like klogd service being bloated by thousands of iptable logs.
Actually it's strange that system logging lags the system but anyway, probably
the quick fix is to edit couple of files in /etc/ipmasq/rules and comment lines
like
$IPTABLES -A INPUT -j LOG -i ${j%%:*} -s $IPOFIF/$NMOFIF
to look like
#$IPTABLES -A INPUT -j LOG -i ${j%%:*} -s $IPOFIF/$NMOFIF
Here are the files:
I15lospoof.def
I70masq.def
ZZZdenyandlog.def
Beware! Commenting this gives you no chance in tracking crack
attacks/attempts.
And btw. I've commented them, but have no idea if this will work. We'll
see.
