The bug report says you're using Shotwell 0.12.3 on Precise. Is that correct? If so, you might consider subscribing to the Yorba PPA (https://launchpad.net/~yorba/+archive/ppa). You can upgrade to 0.14.1 (unfortunately, the latest, 0.15, doesn't build on Precise).
