Public bug reported: When I get a notification about updates I click on the icon and muon- updater opens but it says the system is up-to-date when it's really not. The install updates button can still be clicked and updates will be installed but it's really annoying because I can't see what packages are available for update and could be confusing for some users.
Steps to reproduce: 1. Wait for updates to be available 2. Click on the notification icon to open muon-updater What should happen: It should say there are updates available and list what packages are updatable What happens instead: It says the system is already up-to-date ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 13.10 Package: muon-updater 2.0.65+git20131008-0ubuntu4 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.11.0-12.19-generic 3.11.3 Uname: Linux 3.11.0-12-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia ApportVersion: 2.12.5-0ubuntu2 Architecture: amd64 Date: Fri Oct 25 00:56:04 2013 InstallationDate: Installed on 2011-10-22 (733 days ago) InstallationMedia: Kubuntu 11.10 "Oneiric Ocelot" - Release amd64 (20111012) MarkForUpload: True SourcePackage: muon UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to saucy on 2013-10-17 (7 days ago) ** Affects: muon (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug saucy ** Attachment added: "muon-updater.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1244519/+attachment/3890604/+files/muon-updater.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1244519 Title: Muon Updater says the system is up-to-date even if there are updates available To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/muon/+bug/1244519/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
