Public bug reported:
If you boot a Dell Optiplex GX 620 with an ATI X600 PCIE (RV370 5B62)
from an Ubuntu Edgy Eft Knot 2 Desktop CD you can choose which flavor
you want to boot and you can see the first splash screen. After the step
"Start ACPI" the screen turns blank. You can't switch to text console.
Reboot via CTRL+ALT+DEL is not possible. Same happens if you choose the
"safe graphics" mode and/or a VGA 640*408 16 color mode.
At the moment this behavior is a real showstopper.
