Excellent hint. Thank you, @Timo. As your command installs all available lenses --ther're a ton of them--, I opened Synaptic and tried with reinstalling only the already installed ones.
- Reinstalling the existing unity-lens-* changed nothing. - Looking at unity-scope-home showed this wasn't installed at all. Installing it also newly installed unity-scopes-master-default and after that, searching in the dash worked fine again. Accordingly, the following command should be sufficient: sudo apt-get install unity-scope-home This makes me wonder wether it's perhaps just a missing dependency. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1238929 Title: Unity dash searches forever, no search results To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/1238929/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
