Cuando intente hacer la actualización por la aplicación de software update se me serraba igual que el ejemplo anterior y si lo intentaba hacer por medio de la terminal me salia el siguiente error "mount /tmp as noexec error" y lo solucione ejecutando el siguiente comando "mount -o remount exec /tmp" y de inmediato funciono la actualizaciones. me a funcionado incluso con la 13.10.
