Hi Christopher, Since experiencing the soft lockup, I have upgraded my kernel (am now running 3.5.0-41-generic). I think the best thing would be to file a new bug if I experience the same issue while running the updated kernel. If you'd still rather see a new bug report filed, I can accommodate.
