Hi TIll, Thank you for the information. HPLIP-3.13.9 release has fix for "hp- setup -i" is looking for Password dialog instead of interactive mode.
3.13.9 release contains both "hp-setup changing to interactive mode" and "password in text console" of your suggestion. Regarding gksu 'hp-setup -i' warning message, needs to look into this.
