The removal of the xorg-edgers ppa was executed as advised. But it seems
to have been the final nail in the coffin for my already fragile
graphical env. (which I have caused myself because I wanted to try
Steam and fiddled with propietary AMD/ATI drivers).

The good news was that it allowed me to install 13.10, the bad news was
that it was through root shell and ended with me reinstalling the video
driver.

But all is well, 13.10 is up and running and Unity works and the window
decorations are there.

Thanks!
