Using 8800gts, with the nv driver, there's no support for dual screens. with the nvidia-glx driver installed with restricted manager, there's a "no screens found" error. with Alberto's Envy (slightly modified to recognize gutsy), 3d acceleration, twinview works.
Since not using this driver removes several, popular use cases, I think that the driver should be upgraded.
