Had the same problem with services-admin and a few other g-s-t apps (didn't try all of them). Then I found in http://www.64studio.com/node/85 that the problem could be an error loading the Net::DBus Perl module, so I tried this:
perl -MNet::DBus -e1 The problem was that I had installed my own Perl in /usr/local/bin/perl (which doesn't have Net::DBus), so when g-s-t runs perl from the PATH fails in loading the module.
