Hello TBD,
it looks like this problem has been solved in the last couple of days. For me
the pop-up does not show anymore and dimming correctly responds to the "dim
display when idle" setting.
Can you please make sure you have installed all updates and advise if the
problem has been solved for you as well?
Please add the results of uname -a to your reply.
