Without doing anything to my machine, the problem went away. However, on my Lenovo T61P where it occurred, when kworker took a lot of CPU, threeof the 11 thermometers the laptop has was red. For two of them, when the laptop is working hard, they are normally red so that was usual. But the 3rd one, I never saw it red, thus suggesting that kworker had something to do with a piece of hardware which usually does not work as hard. Now that kworker is quiet, this thermometer is back into blue, normal temperature.
Don't ask me what the thermometers are for, they are only labeled numerically. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/887793 Title: Kworker constantly taking about 100% CPU To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/887793/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
