strange that alsa-info show you have selected model=mb5 but your
/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf


# Keep snd-usb-audio from beeing loaded as first soundcard
options snd-usb-audio index=-2
gksudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf


remove the last line from alsa-base.conf

and post the output of alsa-info.sh
