The situation now is this: The touhcpad works only "sometimes", by enabling via Fn key. The Fn key related to the touchpad (Fn+F3) itself works only "sometimes".
This behaviour seems to be the same in all distributions I've tested, and for all kernels (12.04 with 3.5 kernel and with 3.11 (upstream), 13.04 with 3.8 and 3.11) I've tested also the live version of Saucy via http://cdimage.ubuntu.com /daily-live/current/ on usb and the touchpad didn't work (I suspect it has the same behaviour of the other distros). In Saucy moreover the wifi card is not detected. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1197491 Title: [DELL Inspiron 15z 5523] touchpad not recognised To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1197491/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
