1. Google Chrome says me that it doesn't set as default browser. I press "Set as default" button. After that the content of ".config/xfce4/helpers.rc" changes to "WebBrowser=google-chrome". 2. After that when I click some link in Skype chat the dialog appeares and suggests to set up default browser. It says that default browser is not selected. If I choose google-chrome and click other links in Skype - they open in Google Chrome. The content of ".config/xfce4/helpers.rc" changes to "WebBrowser=custom-WebBrowser". 3. If I restart browser - it says again that it doesn't set as default browser (facepalm).
It's a bug! Preferred Applications app must store browser binary name, not some obscure "custom-WebBrowser". -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/794720 Title: xubuntu desktop fails to respect "preferred applications" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/exo/+bug/794720/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
