Public bug reported:

When I click, I see an empty drop down menu, few pixels in height. The
various sub systems are (presumably) correctly installed, as the volume
keys on my keyboard work fine and the bluetooth manager works fine from
xfce4-settings-manager.

The network-manager indicator icon does work fine though.

This happens both on my (old) Dell Vostro and my Chromebook Pixel, which
both have the Saucy alpha 2 (x86_64)
