Hi Christopher, Sorry its taken me a while to get around to testing this.
I have downloaded live CDs going back to Ubuntu 8.04 testing each as I go, and 8.04 (kernel 2.6.24) suspends correctly. All my hardware functions in 8.04 as well as getting reasonable frame rates in glxgears (~665 fps). I have also tested some of the debian previous releases. Squeeze failed but Lenny works just fine. So Lenny which worked correctly has 2.6.26, Ubuntu 8.04 has 2.6.24, and 8.10 which failed has 2.6.27. Could it be a bug introduced between 2.6.26 and 2.6.27? Or maybe something else changed with the suspend mechanism at that point. Anyway I am about to install 8.04 and then do an upgrade to 8.10 which should give me the ability to to test the 8.04 kernel on 8.10. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1186732 Title: [TOSHIBA Satellite L30] suspend/resume failure To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1186732/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
