Public bug reported:

With ubuntu gutsy, the network manager detects both my ethernet card and my
wifi card. When I plug the ethernet in, it configures the inteface correctly,
but if I ask to connect to my wifi (unencrypted), it just shows the
"connecting" animation for a few minutes and then fail silently and show the
"not connected" icon.
If I manually configure the network, the wifi works fine (but only after a
restart. If I don't restart the computer, I have to do "ifup eth1")
And it was working fine with edgy (excepted sometimes when resuming after a
suspend)
