Thank you for your reply. I am ignorant of computer terminology and don't
understand such words are "upstream" or "epoch." I am not asking you to
explain those to me, either. I just wanted to report to the "ubuntu brain"
that after installing the most recent deb files directly downloaded from the
source, my Ubuntu Feisty keeps telling me that upgrade is available, and
this is an apparent error. As a matter of fact, the old files (with high
version numbers) in Ubuntu repository don't work. There are several threads
in ubuntuforums.org.

Thank you again for the reply. Hopefully, I can communicate intelligently
with you in a year or two.
