Crashing for me in dapper. I will try and get a backtrace - I have the following with libc6-dbg and libglib2.0-0-dbg. By libxine1-dbg do you mean a debug version of libxine-main1?
I will try and put together a debug version of that and of totem today. The totem version that crashes here is 1.4.3 (using libxine 1.1.1). It appears not to crash if a file isn't open in totem.
