Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 12.04 x64

Every time I try to create wavform programm hangs with "glibc detected
memory corruption" error.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Run the programm:
  $ subtitleeditor

2. Wavform -> Open wavform from file

3. Pick any *.avi, *.mp3 (I have tried many different files, it cause
the same result)

Also I found this 700Kb freely available file to be precise:
http://redmine.yorba.org/attachments/615/MVI_0572.AVI

Actual result:
SE Info: The file 'file:///home/alex/Downloads/MVI_0572.AVI' is not a waveform
file
*** glibc detected *** subtitleeditor: malloc(): memory corruption:
0x00000000025ac470 ***

Expected result:
Program should work without such terrible errors.

Additional info:
I have medibuntu.org repository activated. I did not try it on clean 12.04
installation yet.
