All partitions shouldn't be shown on the desktop as long as they are in
fstab. If this is something you have experienced, that's different bug.

I would personally keep the the home icon since we have many new users
who might not know how to browse their files without that shortcut.
Whether we should keep the filesystem -icon on the desktop is open for
discussion.
