Hello there, I have the same problem here. I am attaching the information you asked the OP for, hope it is of any use.
I normally have to unplug and plug again the mouse to get it to work but sometimes it is not possible and unloading and reloading modules won't work, so I have to reboot the machine hoping for it to work.
