Upstream bug (https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49201) was
marked as Fix Released. I checked that the related fixes are in Ubuntu
13.10 (make sure you're running the latest 3.10 kernel). It should be
useful to test it to find out whether things finally have improved. My
initial take is that it seems to work better, but no wonders expected.
But is it now as good as it gets with the hardware/antenna limitations?

It might be best to file a new bug to track newer upstream bug reports.
Alternatively, this bug could be updated with another upstream bug
report, but the current one is indeed set as fixed.
