For instance, when I change the volume of left speaker, the volume of subwoofer would not change. However when I change the volume of front right speaker, the sound of subwoofer changes. if "outputs lower frequencies from a stereo signal" is the subwoofer sound, it should be affected by both right and left and maybe rear speakers but the output is conmpletely dominated by front right speaker. I suspect this problem is not depend on hardware as long as x.1 mode. As I reported regarding other issues, PulseAudio related GUI behaves very strangely.
