Public bug reported: Situation: Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail Kernel: 3.8.0-25-generic (x86_64) Package: gnu-fdisk 1.2.5-2 (amd64)
The application cfdisk in the package gnu-fdisk segfaults when getting I/O read errors while trying to modify the layout of a disk. gnu-fdisk itself just reports a read error and offers some options. (The I/O errors here are due to a faulty usbbus, but this report is only about the segfaulting when errors occur). strace of the process is attached. ** Affects: gnu-fdisk (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "strace of process" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1194417/+attachment/3713246/+files/strace.segfault.cfdisk.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1194417 Title: gnu-cfdisk segfaults on I/O read errors To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnu-fdisk/+bug/1194417/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
