Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
Laptop Dell D620

Normally hardware sound volume buttons (volume up, volume down, mute/unmute)
work fine. But when I open any application indicator menu or system indicator
menu (user account, calendar, networking, power, skype etc) - these buttons
stop working. System doesn't freeze, just hitting these buttons does nothing.
When indicator menu is closed - buttons start working fine again.
No big deal, but this behaviour is weird.

Again - multimedia buttons do not work exactly when any indicator menu
is open. It works fine before and after that.

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
