Public bug reported: I am running Lubuntu 13.04 in a multihead configuration with separate xservers and additionally installed pekwm lateron. When logging into pekwm instead of "startlubuntu", everything works fine except that the screen does not get refreshed so old content does not go away until you "overwrite" it by dragging windows over it. Therefore, directly after logging in you can still see the login manager (lightdm). Apart from that, pekwm is functional.
It is interesting to note that once you start a lubuntu session on the second screen via DISPLAY=:0.1 startlubuntu Screen refresh starts working also on the first screen - not only on the screen with the new session. To me it seems like the lubuntu-session sets some parameters which pekwm does not and which are necessary for the correct screen refresh handling. xorg.conf and Xorg logs are attached. ** Affects: pekwm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "Xorg.0.log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1191769/+attachment/3705549/+files/Xorg.0.log ** Attachment removed: "Xorg.0.log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pekwm/+bug/1191769/+attachment/3705549/+files/Xorg.0.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1191769 Title: Missing screen refresh in 13.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pekwm/+bug/1191769/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
