Yes, I didn't restart the whole box, just closed my kde session and restarted it.
It could be a lock, but that was the first time I started a session in the box this morning, and (if I'm not wrong) I couldn't hear the "KDE up & running" sound, so the problem was already there before I even fired up amarok or another application.
