The same bug. Ubuntu 7.04 (Fiesty Fawn), OOO 2.2. Using Impress, when trying to modify text fields, CPU goes up to 100%, system hangs for a while, then CPU goes back to normal. With one file only. Reproducible.
Additional info: I started the file under XP (SP2, OOO2.2), then reopened in Ubuntu (layout was broken - not an issue here thogh). I used fonts that are available only in XP I guess (SILDoulosIPA) -> freezes really for a while when trying to open text with many "alien" fonts. I hope this helps.
