I experienced this problem as well with kernal update on btrfs. Some searching found a FAQ entry on the "no space left on device" error and some possible workarounds:
https://btrfs.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/Problem_FAQ I tried running the partial balance: > sudo btrfs fi balance start -dusage=5 / And found that after it completed I was able to install the kernal update with no errors. Hope this helps. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/893681 Title: No space left on device during kernel update on btrfs To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/btrfs/+bug/893681/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
