Yes, I am affected, too! This should affect all SAMBA-PDC systems running with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, which should be quite a lot. I do not understand why not more people are affected.
This is a real problem that cannot stay like this! I found this is an upstream problem look bugreport: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=670246 My personal solution was installing: smbldap-tools_0.9.9-1ubuntu1_all.deb (raring) on my precise installation. This works fine: No other upgrades required! Maybee smbldap-tools_0.9.9 should be backported to precise.
