Hello Frantoms. I installed 12.04 with a live usb stick. Ubuntu 12.10 have the bricking problem. Ubuntu 13.04 is ?????????. When I brick my system in 2012 I had a working linux OS in the SSD. And when mother board was swap out for a new one i lost it. The SSD is built into the mother board. I have the SSD as an active partition now and use it to store stuff.
