There's another, safer patch on the sudo bug now ( http://www.sudo.ws/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=180 ) that really ought to be applied - it will allow a very trivial patch to be applied to gksudo and fix any non-standard PAM authentication. Is there anything holding this back?
