Okay, good, this does help. The difference between the two kernels shows up when you compare the lines that say "sitd1" -- the working kernel has "sitd1-003c" and the non-working kernel has "sitd1-0078".
While this difference is caused by the commit in question, it's more or less a coincidence that one value works and the other doesn't. The commit doesn't really make things worse than they already are; it's just that this part of the driver is in bad shape generally. Before I try to do a poper fix, it would help to see the contents of /sys/kernel/debug/usb/devices while the audio is playing (on either kernel, it doesn't matter which). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1136110 Title: USB Audio Codec choppy playback To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1136110/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
