This is indeed a heisenbug :-(
After first explicitly fetching the source and only compiling
afterwards, the bug did not appear. Strangely enough, I am now
completely unable to reproduce this bug. I will close as invalid until
I find a reliable way to reproduce this problem (which looks like it is
not a bug in python-launchpad-bugs but in apt-get if it exists at all).
