Thanks for the input Dave.. I've tried this too, however still getting the same issues :(.
It seems whenever the mouse/keyboard are initialized, dmesg will ouput the following: atkbd serio0: Spurious ACK on isa0060/serio0. Some program might be trying to access hardware directly. Is anyone else seeing this in their dmesg output?
