Hey Tormod, Sory for my late answer, yes you can close this ticket because it's difficult for me to give you some more informations about this problem, because there is a long time I changed my computer and i have nouw an ATI x1600, for the ATI x1600 and Ubuntu 7.04 i can say that it worked, by installing the fglrx drivers.
