After running 12.04 LTS for months I finally gave up. I'm back to windows now.
I have exactly the same problem. Totally *random* crashes. No mouse, No keyboard, No ssh. Nothing at all. But in my case after a while (about 15-30 seconds) it will reboots itself. I have tried kernel 3.2.x all the way to 3.6.x. Now I'm using 3.5.0-25 which seems to a bit better, but still freezes. But sadly I have been back to windows for 3 months now. Freezes happens randomly, but many times (not always) it happens after I plays some videos or mp3. Sometimes it happens while the computer is idling (just my firefox running). I have a legacy system which proves stable under Windows. Asus MB, 2GB ram, Core2Duo, nVidia geforce 7600GT. I'm not running Unity. I use gnome classic. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1154006 Title: 12.04 freezes many times daily To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1154006/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
