I have installed the generic kernel from proposed repository (Linux box
3.8.0-20-generic #31-Ubuntu SMP Mon May 6 17:03:32 UTC 2013 x86_64
x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux) and I had no problem during four boots. The
system boots ok, and during shutdown it no longer chokes at flushing
SCSI cache for my SATA hard disks.
