Public bug reported:

I recently reloaded my machine after running FC5 for quite some time. I
almost immediately ran into a issue with both gnome terminal that I had
not seen before. I doubt it is strictly a problem with that app, rather
I think it is probably some sort of X bug. I say this because I also
have seen it with "terminal", one of the other terminal programs, and
may have seen it with firefox. The easiest way for me to reproduce it is
when I am scrolling back in the terminal window, or paging forward or
back in vi.

The problem that I am seeing is an incorrect repaint, usually after
using the keyboard to switch workspaces. The incorrect repaint usually
incorporates part of a window on a previous workspace, though usually
not rendered in the correct color. One odd factor is that forcing a
repaint in vi using ^L sometimes fixes the problem and sometimes does
not. In all cases, if I "wave" another window over the mispainted on,
the problem goes away.

I suspect a configuration issue with the X server, else I would have
been able to find more people complaining.

I am running on feisty. I have several screen shots of errors. What
additional information can I provide ?
