I have the same problem with exactly the same network card (tested with 13.04 i386 live DVD).
This problem seems to appear during transition from kernel 3.6.x to 3.7. It does not seem to be distribution dependent because the same bug affects at least Fedora (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=901811) and openSUSE (https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=812116). ** Bug watch added: Red Hat Bugzilla #901811 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=901811 ** Bug watch added: Novell/SUSE Bugzilla #812116 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=812116 ** Also affects: fedora Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: fedora Importance: Undecided => Unknown ** Changed in: fedora Status: New => Unknown ** Changed in: fedora Remote watch: None => Red Hat Bugzilla #901811 ** Also affects: opensuse Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: opensuse Importance: Undecided => Unknown ** Changed in: opensuse Status: New => Unknown ** Changed in: opensuse Remote watch: None => Novell/SUSE Bugzilla #812116 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1175091 Title: Cable Ethernet conn.
