Phillip,

Chased around the web, read the FakeRaidHowTo and also a good article on
setting up "fakeraid" when building an "arch" Linux system.

Performed a bootload from the USAB, invoked dmraid and had a look
around.

I have an Intel Software raid (isw), SSD and HDD, etc.

Had a look at things with dmraid -r, -l, etc.

Came to dmraid -ay in the arch doco.

Well, why not.....
Read the arch doco and then checked /dev/mapper and there a bunch of files in
there, hmmmmmm.

Tried ubiquity, long pause on the "installation type" form and then
suddenly all the drives, partitions and free space appeared.

>From the "add" button I could create a primary partition in the free
space.

Tried to install and got a message about "no root file system is
defined".

Hmmmmm, not sure if what I did is correct and heading in the correct
direction, I search on.
