Sorry, forgot to mention this... Be advised that the current version is incompatible with Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS with the LTSEnablementStack (new install from the Ubuntu 12.04.2 CD/DVD or upgrade) because it's based on Quantal xserver stack which has different package names. Trying to install FreeCAD will uninstall the whole stack and may damage your system.
