I can confirm this issue, running Gutsy AMD64 (compiz and kde-window- decorator enabled, nvidia propietary drivers).
I found a workaround here: http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/index.php?topic=3085219.0 In fact, installing libgtk2.0-0_2.10.11-0ubuntu3 (I downloaded the amd64 version, but the post reports that the i386 has the same effect on that architecture) solves the problem...
